Torre de Palau High School students visit the Mobile World Centre

Torre de Palau High School has been one of the first to visiBarcelona Mobile World Centre. Located in the heart of Barcelona, the Centre is Mobile World Capital’s permanent exhibition and venue, to spread and demonstrate the latest mobile technologies and solutions to citizens. The Mobile World Centre, opened on the 14th February 2013, brings mobile technology closer to all citizens, share a global vision of the mobile future and is a source of information for the other Mobile World Capital channels; Mobile World Hub, Mobile Word Festival and Mobile World Congress.

The visit, consisting of three workshops (“Becoming a mobile learner”, “sharing apps” and “treasure search”) was an excellent training opportunity for Torre del Palau students, who are commissioned to design an interactive self-guided walking tour mobile app around the industrial heritage sites of Terrassa. This initiative, promoted by Museu de la Ciència i de la Tècnica de Catalunya (mNACTEC) and held under the framework of CreativeCH, engages students in the conceptualization, design and validation of the application.
