Banat showcase team at Lunea Cornilor (Monday Fools) festival

The Lunea Cornilor (Monday Fools) festival, located in Eftimie Murgu (Rudaria), Banat region. The festival is related to the end of winter and beginning of spring activities in rural area. It reflects the lazy thinking of people (and their corresponding behavior) and there is a large participation of people (direct or indirect) even when weather conditions are more closely to winter than to spring. Direct participants wears specific clothes and masques, because they want to show fools behavior (sometime in excess) in order to underline that foolish is part of the life. The importance of this holiday is not only specific to cultural life of a community but also to social life, because it contribute to diminishing the tensions accumulated during the winter, a relative inactive period.
